The LM2931AZ-5.0RAG series consists of forward fixed and adjustable output regulators, which are specially designed to maintain appropriate voltage regulation with extremely low input and output voltage differences. These devices can provide output currents exceeding 100mA and have a low bias current of 0.4mA at 10mA output. These devices are mainly designed to survive in harsh automotive environments and protect all external load circuits from input faults caused by battery reverse connections, two battery jump starts, and excessive line transients during load drops. The LM2931AZ-5.0RAG series also includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and can withstand temporary power on for mirror insertion. Due to its low-voltage differential voltage and bias current specifications, the LM2931AZ-5.0RAG series is very suitable for battery powered industrial and consumer equipment that requires extended battery life. The "C" suffix adjustable output regulator has an output suppression pin, which is very useful in microprocessor based systems.
LM2931AZ-5.0RAG Application Scenarios • Battery Powered Consumer Products • Handheld Instruments • Cameras and Cameras
